Since passing the islands at the southern end of the Red Sea
near the Gate of Grief on Tuesday morning we have not seen land. We hope to see the entrance to the Gulf of
Aqaba before it gets dark tonight.
Yesterday over the eastern horizon we passed Mecca. During the night we passed over the Tropic of
Cancer. Since entering the Red Sea
temperatures have been a bit cooler. Seas
have remained calm. We have seen lots of
ship traffic in both directions. We are
now out of pirate waters.
